Teen allegedly robs gold shop after losing cash in funding scam

A 17 year old lady was arrested for allegedly robbing a gold shop and threatening the manager with a kitchen knife after she lost cash in an apparent scam.
The teenager reportedly informed officers that she had gotten concerned in what seemed to be an internet funding website. She had seen an commercial on Instagram and decided to take a position the 50,000 baht life insurance coverage payout from her father’s dying. After sending the money, she realised it was a rip-off and he or she couldn’t contact the website.
Her mother was being handled for Covid-19 and started asking about their cash. The teenager allegedly went to a gold shop at a Big C in Nonthaburi carrying a hat and face mask. She held a knife and handed a note to the store manager saying “Put cash and gold in a bag. Don’t shout. Your life is yours. There’s Safety to kill.” She then ran off with gold necklaces and rings valued at around 400,000 baht.
The director of her faculty submitted 15,000 baht as a bond and he or she was launched from the Central Juvenile and Family Court..
