The KSB pumps will equip numerous pumping stations belonging to the “Costanera de Pilar y control de inundaciones” venture. They will be used to stop future flooding through the high-water season alongside the tributaries of the Río Paraguay.
The city of Pilar is positioned 230 km south-west of Paraguay’s capital Asunción, on the Argentinian border.
Each of the Amacan submersible motor pumps weighs six tonnes and is driven by a 370 kW, 380 volt motor. The maximum circulate price of each axial flow pump set is about 18 000 cubic metres per hour.
The pump units are anticipated to be delivered by the end of this 12 months.
